India has announced a three-year tariff of 11–12% on selected steel imports from China, Vietnam, and Nepal to protect domestic producers from cheap, low-quality steel. The duty starts at 12%, falling to 11% over three years. Speciality steel and certain developing countries are exempt, aiming to curb market distortions and anti-dumping concerns.
