SC Shocked By Low Pensions For Retired HC Judges

Supreme Court expressed “shock” over the low pensions of retired high court judges, ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000. A bench of Justices BR Gavai, PK Mishra, and KV Viswanathan heard a petition from a retired Allahabad High Court judge, who claimed his 13 years of judicial service in the district court were not considered in pension calculations.
