Unilever has announced it will reduce 1,500 fewer jobs in Europe than initially expected. The company will also hire approximately 1,000 people, primarily from those affected by its cost-cutting initiatives, to work for its upcoming ice cream business spin-off. The move was confirmed by the head of Unilever’s European Works Council in an interview with Reuters.
