In Telangana’s Warangal district, a woman identified as Nimishakavi Indira allegedly duped her husband, Mattapalli Devedra Raj, whom she met through a marriage bureau. After their October wedding, she fled their Hanamkonda home with 8.5 kg of gold and ₹2 lakh. The “relatives” she introduced were fake, and she reportedly has a history of similar frauds.
