Two-wheeler accidents continue to claim a staggering number of lives in the country. Between 2019 and 2023, 7.78 lakh people died in road accidents, with 3.35 lakh fatalities involving bikes. In 2023 alone, two-wheelers accounted for 45% of all road deaths, totaling 77,539. The rising trend continues in 2024, with 1.77 lakh road accident deaths reported.
