Maoist parties have called a nationwide bandh today, Nov 23, to protest the alleged staged encounter of commander Madvi Hidma, who was reportedly killed after being arrested in Vijayawada for medical treatment. Party spokesperson Abhay condemned the action. Security forces across India have been placed on high alert to manage disruptions during the bandh.
