Layoffs & Poor Maintenance Hit Vizag Steel’s RMHP Efficiency

Several trade unions have raised concerns over the unplanned operation of the Raw Material Handling Plant (RMHP) at the Vizag Steel Plant. Layoffs of contract workers, poor conveyor maintenance, and the transfer of key officials are reportedly affecting RMHP’s efficiency. These issues are contributing to a rise in steel production costs.
