The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu until November 30 due to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. Consequently, the state government has declared holidays for schools in 15 districts. Meanwhile, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University has postponed its scheduled semester examinations in view of the continuing heavy rains.
