The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety has approved the first stretch of CMRL Phase II, allowing metro services from Poonamallee Bypass to Porur Junction. The 14.6-km Yellow Line section with 10 stations will run trains every 15 minutes, with limited service to Vadapalani. Full frequency and Corridor 5 operations will follow after March 25.
