85 Indians Released From Russian Military Prior To BRICS Summit

85 Indian nationals have been discharged from the Russian military, with efforts underway to secure the release of 20 more, according to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. Prime Minister Modi is expected to discuss the remaining discharges with Russian President Vladimir Putin during their bilateral meeting at the BRICS Summit in Kazan. Nine Indians have died while serving in the Russian Army.
