IMD Issues Rain Alert To Himachal Till Tuesday

The India Meteorological Dept issued a red alert for very heavy to extremely heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh from Sunday to Tuesday, warning of landslides, flash floods, and waterlogging. The state recorded 72% excess rainfall in August, with five districts crossing 100%. Heavy rains shut 822 roads, including three national highways, worsening the crisis.
