West Bengal Releases Updated Post-SIR Electoral Rolls

The Election Commission of India has started publishing West Bengal’s post-SIR electoral rolls in phases. In Bankura, around 1.18 lakh names were deleted since November’s exercise, reducing the electorate from 30,33,830 to 29,01,009. Hard copies are available in districts like Bankura and Cooch Behar, though online updates are not yet live.
