Kerala MLA In Assault Probe During Suspension

Kerala Police booked suspended Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil after a woman accused him of sexual assault and coercing a pregnancy termination. Officials recorded her statement and began investigating, while she submitted a complaint to the CM. Congress leader K. Muraleedharan said Mamkootathil may campaign but cannot share stages during suspension.
