Legendary American singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka, 86, known for hits like “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do,” “Calendar Girl,” and “Laughter in the Rain,” has passed away. A Brill Building icon, he wrote for Elvis and Sinatra, scored three Billboard No. 1s, earned five Grammy nominations, and has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. He is survived by his wife and children.
