SC To Hear Aadhaar Guidelines PIL Today

The Supreme Court will hear a PIL on stricter Aadhaar norms today, May 4. Filed by Ashwini Upadhyay, it urges the Unique Identification Authority of India to restrict new Aadhaar cards to children up to six years and tighten rules for others. The plea also seeks display boards clarifying Aadhaar is only proof of identity, not citizenship, address, or birth.
