Centre Allocates ₹994 Crore For Tamil Nadu Cyclone Fengal Relief

The Centre has approved ₹944.8 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund for Tamil Nadu’s Cyclone Fengal relief efforts. The Ministry of Home Affairs also sent an Inter-Ministerial team to assess the damage. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin requested ₹2,000 crore interim relief from the NDRF, citing the devastation affecting over 69 lakh families. The state needs ₹2,475 crore for restoration efforts.
