Union Cabinet Set To Approve ‘One Nation – One Poll’ Soon

The NDA govt at the center is likely to move towards holding simultaneous polls for all state assemblies and the Lok Sabha in 2027. The Union Cabinet is expected to approve the ‘One Nation, One Poll’ proposal on Thursday. The bill will then be presented in Parliament, with a possibility of it being referred to a JPC for further consensus.
