The Manipur government lifted the mobile internet ban in nine districts after 23 days, following a review of the law and order situation. The suspension, imposed on November 16 due to violence in Imphal Valley, affected both mobile and broadband services. Over 250 people have died, and thousands have been displaced due to ethnic clashes between the Meiteis and Kuki-Zo groups since May 2023.
