AI Surveillance Alerts Railways, Train Halted For Elephant Herd

In Odisha, AI cameras installed in the Rourkela Forest Division successfully prevented a potential train-elephant collision. The cameras detected a herd approaching the railway line, sending alerts to halt the train. Retired forest officer Susanta Nanda shared the success on X, noting that the initiative, funded by RSP, is being expanded to other forest divisions, with plans for use in poacher detection.
