The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a new 10% road safety cess on all vehicles in the state. This will be added to the existing life tax. For example, if a vehicle’s life tax is ₹50,000, an extra ₹5,000 will be charged as the road safety cess. The move aims to improve road safety measures.
