Doctors recommend that boys aged 9-26 also get the HPV vaccine, just like girls. The vaccine helps prevent cancers of the throat, tongue, and genitals in males. Since there are no routine screening tests for these cancers in men, vaccination is the best protection. Under new guidelines, a single dose is enough for boys.
