The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh govt has introduced a new initiative in schools, making newspaper reading compulsory for students. The move aims to encourage reading habits and reduce excessive screen time. As per this, primary and upper primary students will read newspapers for 10 minutes, with Hindi and English dailies stocked in school libraries.
