Army Assures Safety Of Troops Deployed In UN Peacekeeping Operations In Lebanon

Army said that Indian troops deployed in UN peacekeeping operations in conflict-hit Lebanon are safe. Concerns about soldier’s safety were raised amid escalating tensions in the region. Lt. General Rakesh Kapoor, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Information Systems and Coordination), said that Indian troops remain in strict compliance with UN mandate and are closely monitored by Army leadership.
