The AAP government’s ₹1,000 monthly honorarium scheme for eligible women in Delhi faces bureaucratic delays due to budget constraints. While the scheme was allocated ₹2,000 crore in the 2024-25 budget, the Finance department has raised concerns about a ₹4,550 crore disbursal, which could lead to a deficit in the 2025-26 budget. The rollout, initially planned for September, is delayed.
