South Korea Opposition Leader Urges Quick Action On Impeachment

South Korea’s opposition leader Lee Jae-myung called for a swift ruling by the Constitutional Court on the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol, after parliament’s vote over his attempt to impose martial law. Yoon’s powers are suspended until the court’s decision, which could either remove him or restore his powers. If dismissed, a national election must be held within 60 days.
