India Chief Coach Manoj Kothari Passes Away

Former world billiards champion and chief national coach Manoj Kothari died Monday after a cardiac arrest in Tirunelveli. He was 67. A 1990 IBSF world champion and 1997 world doubles winner, Kothari later coached India for over a decade, mentoring generations, including son Sourav. A Dhyan Chand Awardee, he is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
