Himanta Biswa Sarma Adds Four New Faces To Assam Cabinet

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma expanded his cabinet with 4 new ministers: Prasanta Phookan, Kaushik Rai, Krishnendu Paul, and Rupesh Goala. Assam Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya administered the oath. Phookan and Goala represent Upper Assam’s tea districts, while Paul and Rai represent Barak Valley. Sarma now leads a 19-member council of ministers, with all members being BJP legislators.
