Panama President Mulino Defends Panama Canal Taxes

US President-elect Donald Trump has accused Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino of imposing excessive taxes on ships passing through the Panama Canal. Mulino, however, stated that there was no need to discuss Trump’s threats and emphasized that the taxes collected from the ships were fair and in accordance with regulations.
