TMP Chief Opposes BJP Plan To Rename Tripura Council

TMP leader Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma opposed the BJP’s promise to rename the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council as the Tripura Autonomous Territorial Council (TATC) if elected. Speaking in Ampi, he criticized the move, saying the BJP aims to remove the word “Tribal” from the council’s name, undermining tribal identity.
