Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said over three crore fake accounts have been removed from the IRCTC portal to curb touts selling train tickets. Around 78% of seats are non-AC, 70% of coaches are general or sleeper, and over 75,000 special trains have operated this year. The government’s focus on safety has reduced consequential accidents by 90%.
