‘I Am Muslim, Yet Proud To Do Ramayana’: AR Rahman Speaks

AR Rahman, composing music for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, addressed faith debates, saying art rises above religion. Raised studying Ramayana and Mahabharata, he values universal virtues and inclusivity. Calling the project global, Rahman noted, “I am Muslim, Ramayana is Hindu,” praising collaboration. The film releases in two parts in 2026 and 2027.
