SC Orders Action: 6 J&K Cops Arrested Over Custodial Torture

Six policemen, including Deputy Superintendent Aijaz Ahmad Naikoo and Inspector Reyaz Ahmad, were arrested by the CBI for allegedly torturing fellow policeman Khursheed Ahmad Chouhan in Kupwara, J&K, in February 2023. The arrests followed a Supreme Court directive for the CBI to file an FIR and take action against the accused officers.
