Delhi Prepares Grand Diwali Celebration For UNESCO Event

Delhi will light up Red Fort and key buildings with diyas on December 10 as India hopes Diwali gets UNESCO Intangible Heritage status. The UNESCO committee is meeting at the Red Fort from December 8–13, and Diwali’s proposal will be discussed on December 9–10. If approved, the city will celebrate with lights, rangolis and fireworks.
