On Republic Day 2026, 982 service personnel across India received gallantry medals. From Telangana, 12 officers from police, fire, home guard, civil defence, and correctional services were honoured, while Andhra Pradesh had 15 recipients. The awards recognise their bravery and dedication in serving the public and maintaining law, order, and safety.
