Manipur: Heliborne Special Forces Operation Target Kuki Insurgents

Security forces launched a heliborne counter-insurgency operation in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, deploying Para Special Forces and Assam Rifles into dense jungle areas. The operation targeted suspected Kuki insurgent hideouts, including the non-SoO United Kuki National Army. The action follows continued violence since May 2023, which has killed over 260 people.
