India Appoints Vikram Doraiswami As China Envoy

Vikram Doraiswami, India’s High Commissioner to the UK, has been appointed Ambassador to China. An IFS officer since 1992, he has served in Beijing, Johannesburg, Uzbekistan, Korea, Bangladesh, and the UN. Fluent in Chinese, French, and Korean, he holds a history master’s from Delhi University and specializes in Indo-Pacific, BRICS, and SAARC affairs.
