Centre Extends Manipur Violence Probe Panel’s Deadline To May 20

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended the deadline for the judicial inquiry commission investigating Manipur violence until May 20, 2025. The commission, headed by former Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Ajai Lamba, was tasked with examining the causes of the violence and failures of authorities. This is the second deadline extension since the commission’s formation in June 2023.
