Elections for over 25 municipal corporations in Maharashtra have been postponed to Dec 20 after the SEC found major irregularities in appeals over rejected nominations. Polling for other municipal councils and nagar panchayats will proceed on Dec 2, with results on December 3. Several districts, including Thane and Pune, are affected, surprising many candidates.
