Nabyendu Ghosh, Trinamool Congress district youth vice-president in Uttar Dinajpur, was brutally killed on New Year’s Eve in Raiganj. Attacked by assailants with sticks and knives near his sweet shop during nearby celebrations, he was declared dead at the hospital. Police are investigating political, personal, or business motives behind the murder.
