Transportation and classes in Bangladesh were heavily disrupted as Sheikh Hasina and her Awami League party called for a nationwide lockdown. The protest is in response to her trial over crimes against humanity related to the crackdown on last year’s student-led uprising. Hasina, currently in exile in India, faces a verdict soon.
