AP Govt To Track Wild Elephants With Radio Collars

The AP Forest Department will now use radio collar technology to monitor and manage wild elephant movements, replacing the earlier method involving tame elephants. Indian Oil Corporation is fully funding the project, which has proven effective in West Bengal. Currently, officials estimate around 100 wild elephants reside in AP’s Chittoor district.
