IndiGo said tax authorities imposed a ₹458.26 crore GST penalty for FY 2018-19 to 2022-23 under Section 74, which it will contest. The airline termed the order erroneous and said it won’t affect operations. Separately, a ₹14.6 lakh GST penalty for FY 2021-22 was imposed, also under appeal, over denied input tax credit by authorities concerned.
