Air India has uncovered widespread misuse of its Employee Leisure Travel (ELT) policy involving over 4,000 employees, who allegedly misrepresented relatives to claim free tickets and some even sold them for profit. The airline has begun corrective action, including requiring refunds and imposing penalties. It has tightened rules and documentation requirements.
