27,000 Births Recorded In Village Of 1,500: Maharashtra Scandal

In Shendursani village, Yavatmal district, Maharashtra, authorities uncovered a massive birth certificate scam. Between September and November, 27,397 births were registered despite a population of just 1,500. Police suspect misuse of government schemes or illegal activities.
