A beggar who died after a road accident in Alappuzha shocked locals when police found over Rs 4.5 lakh in cash, including banned Rs 2,000 notes and foreign currency, in his container. Known as Anil Kishore, he begged for food daily. The money, stored in plastic tins, will be handed over to the court.
