The CBI-SIT found that over 20 crore Tirumala laddus made between 2019 and 2024 used adulterated ghee. Nearly 68 lakh kg of fake ghee, mixed with palm oils and chemicals, was supplied by Bhole Baba Dairy and linked firms. Several officials and suppliers have been questioned or arrested as forensic tests confirmed non-dairy synthetic compounds.
