West Bengal Sports Minister Aroop Biswas offered to resign after mismanagement at Lionel Messi’s Kolkata event on December 13. Several officials, including the DGP and police officers, were show-caused or suspended after an inquiry. Biswas said an investigation is ongoing. Messi will attend events in Mumbai next, where heavy security is planned.
