Former Union Minister Abu Hasem Khan Choudhury, 89, passed away in Kolkata due to age-related ailments. A veteran Congress leader from Malda, he served as Kaliachak MLA and Malda Dakshin MP and was MoS for Health in the UPA government. His son, Isha Khan Choudhury, now carries forward the family’s political legacy. Last rites will be performed today.
