Green Panel Issues Notices To Central Agencies Over Arkavathy River Pollution

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) issued notices to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and other agencies over toxic pollution in Karnataka’s Arkavathy River. The river, vital for local agriculture, has been contaminated with heavy metals, DDT, PAH, and fluoride. The case will be heard on February 10, 2025, in Chennai.
