Severe cold and dense fog have disrupted life in Uttar Pradesh, prompting school restrictions in several districts. Kanpur has shut all schools from Class 1 to 12 for two days starting December 19. Varanasi revised school timings to 10 am–3 pm, while Lucknow shifted classes to begin after 9 am until further orders.
